Thyra™ is SOWA’s proprietary 2.4 GHz audio streaming technology. Designed from scratch, it delivers fast, stable and perfectly synchronized wireless sound across any space. With the click of a button, Thyra™ enables unlimited loudspeakers to seamlessly play together without the hassle of complex wired installations.

Thyra™ combines low-latency transmission, long-range stability and precise synchronization into one modular wireless platform. Each capability is designed to support professional use, ensuring reliable performance in any environment — from compact devices to large-scale systems.

  • Depending on range and latency requirements, Thyra™ supports compressed 48 kHz, 16-bit stereo transmission to lossless 48 kHz, 24-bit stereo.

  • Any device can be configured to be host or join in a Thyra™ system.

  • Depending on configuration, latency ranges from 4-16ms.

  • Thyra™ has redundancy built into its core, using a brand-new modulation method in the 2.4 GHz band. A combination of smart compression, forward error correction, and redundant audio streams ensures extreme robustness against interference, even from traditional 2.4 GHz systems such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

  • Thyra™ come with an unparalleled range of up to +200 meters (line of sight), depending on requirements for audio quality and latency.

The two modes of Thyra™

Thyra™ Link (Beta)

The latest and most dynamic sound set up.

Thyra™ Link is our most adaptive mode, built to simplify quick setups and group coordination. With automatic discovery of nearby speakers, the system forms a wireless RX/TX network, ensuring fast and intuitive communication. All joining units (RX) share a talkback channel, allowing you to monitor the entire fleet of connected Thyra™ Link devices. It also unlocks full microphone functionality when using the SOWA Microphone™, making it ideal for small stage use and mobile productions. You find this mode as “Channel 0” on the SOWA Live- and Tour series, along with the FOH.

    The MM is a multi-radio engine for speakers, hubs, and larger devices, providing extended range and robust performance for demanding uses. The PM is a compact single-radio module for handhelds, mics, and portable accessories, optimized for space and low power.

Thyra™ Fixed

Set up once.
Trust always.

Thyra™ Fixed uses four fixed transmission channels that you can select directly on the speaker. It’s designed for predictable, long-range reliability—ideal for permanent installations and large-scale events. Easily extend the setup by adding a mixer or integrating your preferred equipment outside the SOWA ecosystem. This is our longest-range solution, offering stable performance at distances up to 250 meters. You find this mode as channel 1-4 on all SOWA Products.
